This 2025-2026 season marks an extraordinary milestone for the Barrie Royals Basketball Club — 40 years of developing athletes, building character, and strengthening community bonds through basketball.
A Legacy of Sport, Character & Community
Since its founding in 1985 (approximately, based on the current 40-year celebration in 2025), the Barrie Royals have grown into a leading not-for-profit youth basketball organization in Ontario. The Club offers competitive programs for boys and girls across a full spectrum of age groups — from U10 Novice right up to U19 Junior teams — all under the governance of a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors and in affiliation with Ontario Basketball (OBA) and Juel Ontario.
Over four decades, the Royals have nurtured not only basketball skills but lifetime values. Their commitment to “competence, confidence, and character” reflects a holistic approach to athlete development that extends far beyond the court.
